Programming for Life
So a few months into life as a programmer and daamnn its some shit. Definitely not for the meek. When you have to think on your feet with pressure from Product Managers to release a product, it can get overwhelming but all worth it once the wave cools.
So right now I'm in the thick of things at Eze, not a rookie anymore though still trying to find my steady footing. I can't understate the importance of my mentor at work. If anyone is new at a job or new to corporate life, I would definitely recommend getting one.
I was lucky to meet Nat who grew up in Kenya, speaks good Swahili and understands my background. He is also very smart, assertive and hits the nail on the head. Every time we have our talks, I feel rejuvenated to attack my career with fresh vigor.
Question of the day for Gali : Do you want to spend your life developing electronic trading sytems, playing around with electronic money? How do I find meaning in my work/career besides the money?
